Other Information | Stagecoach first appeared in North East England with the takeover of Busways Travel Services in 1994. The company operated around Newcastle, South Shields and Sunderland. The roots of the bus operations in South Shields can traced back to South Shields Corporation Transport. A few months after the purchase of Busways, Stagecoach also purchased Cleveland Transit (Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough and Hull) and Hartlepool Transport in 1994. Stagecoach had an operation in Darlington which was sold to Arriva North East in 2007. Depots: - Hartlepool - Newcastle (Slatyford and Walkergate) - South Shields - Stockton-on-Tees - Sunderland |
